Nature
The rich natural environment of Alcoy is divided into two parks, with a total area of nearly 20,000 hectares.
Natural Park Carrascal de la Font Roja. 2,450 hectare site was declared a naturalpark by the Valencian government on April 13, 1987.
Natural Park Sierra de Mariola. Site of 17,257 hectares was declared a natural parkby the Valencian government on January 8, 2002.
Greenway of Alcoy. It runs along the former railway track Alcoy-The Canal (Alicante).In the easy route (12 km) and beautiful, you pass through 11 tunnels and threeviaducts. The tour could be much larger, but the ring road and other performancesCocentaina disrupt the old original layout.
Raco de Sant Bonaventura-Canalons. Natural Area of 18.34 ha, is located in theupper reaches of the river Polop, notable for its water course throughout the year withthe flora and vegetation of these ecosystems and by a high value landscape withlarge rocks on limestone carved by the erosive action of river.
